Tapio Pulkkanen (69-71-68,-8) on ennen viimeistä kierrosta kuuden lyönnin päässä kärkiparista Andaluciassa pelattavassa DP World Tourin kilpailussa. Vahvaa kenttäpeliä jarrutti myös lauantaina puttipeli, vaikeasti luettavat viheriöt.
Tapio Pulkkanen oli Andalucia Mastersin kolmannen kierroksen jälkeen poikkeuksellinen tyytyväinen kenttäpeliinsä.
”Tänään oli erittäin kliininen suoritus tiiltä viheriölle. Viheriöiden linjoja oli vastaavasti hyvin vaikea lukea. Tuntui siltä, että täydellisiä putteja lipui lopussa monta ohi”, Hattu Tapio harmitteli.
Pulkkanen pelasi lauantaina kisan parhaan tuloksensa (-4).
Hän oli kahden ensimmäisen kierroksen tapaan kuumana par-viitosilla, joilla korttiin merkattiin eaglen lisäksi kaksi birdieä, sekä yhden parin.
Kolmen päivän yhteisaldo par-viitosilla (-11) on oletettavasti koko kisan paras.
Etenkin kentän kolmella viimeisellä viheriöllä Pulkkasella oli vielä mahdollisuus parantaa tulostaan. Hänellä oli noin kolmemetriset birdie-putit, mutta kaikki livahtivat ohi.
Tilanne viimeiselle kierrokselle on Pulkkasen osalta erinomainen. Onnistuminen kenttäpelissä taustalla. Vain voitettavaa taistelussa suorasta paikasta DP World Tourille kaudeksi 2024.
Ennen kisaa sijoitus listalla oli 151:s, nykyinen sijoitus Espanjassa toisi 13 sijan nousun (138.)
Varmistaakseen työpaikkansa DP World Tourille kaudelle 2020 jo meneillään olevassa kisassa, Pulkkasen pitäisi sijoittua yksinään neljänneksi.
Andalucia Mastersin jälkeen Pulkkanen pääsee mukaan vielä Qatar Mastersiin, mutta ei ilman supermenestystä Etelä-Afrikan suurkilpailuun, Nedbank Challengeen, tai DP World Tour Championshipiin

Saksan Matti Schmid (-14) ja Tanskan Jeff Winther (-14) johtavat Sotorgrandessa pelattavaa kisaa kuusi lyöntiä Pulkkasta paremmalla tuloksella.
Schmidilla on sama haaaste kuin Pulkkasella. Hänellä on sunnuntaina paikka, jonka missaminen voisi tukehduttaa pelivireen Qatarin kisasta.
Pulkkanen lähtee finaalikierrokselleen klo 11.00 yhdessä Thorbjørn Olesenin ja Dan Bradburyn kanssa.
