Tapio Pulkkanen on hyvissä asemissa avauskierroksen jälkeen Ruotsissa pelattassa sekakisassa.
Tapio Pulkkanen aloitti Tukholman lähistöllä pelattavan Scandinavian Mixed -kilpailun vahvasti. Hän pelasi ensimmäiset 18 reikää 68 lyönnillä (-4) ja jakaa 11:tä sijaa avauskierroksen jälkeen.
Pulkkanen pelasi molemmat ysit kaksi alle parin tehtyään yhteensä kuusi birdieä ja kaksi bogia. Bogit tulivat kahdella etuysin par 4 -reiällä.
”Tiiltä olin melko hyvin asemissa koko päivän. Hyvä nippu birdiejä, mutta takalenkin par femmat jätin hyödyntämättä”, Pulkkanen kertoi GoGolfille.
”Puttaaminen oli alussa vähän nihkeää, mutta loppua kohden alkoi kulkea. Hyvä aloitus”, hän summasi.
Kisan kärkipaikkaa jakavat Saksan Yannik Paul ja Tanskan Niklas Nørgaard tuloksella 65 (-7).

Trichat Cheenglab. Saksan Olivia Cowan, Ruotsin Elin Arvidsson ja Espanjan Nuria Iturrioz kirjauttivat Pulkkasen kanssa saman tuloksen 68.
Pulkkanen pelasi avauskierroksen kolmen hengen ryhmässä, jonka ainoa nainen oli Madelene Stavnar. Tämä hävisi Pulkkaselle sen verran avauslyöntien mitassa, että päätyi lyömään kakkoslyöntejä suurin piirtein samalta matkalta kuin Pulkkanen, vaikka naisilla avauslyöntipaikat sijaitsevat kisassa hieman miehiä lähempää viheriötä.
”Vähän pidempää mailaa hän joutui käyttämään (lähestymisissä) kuin minä”, Pulkkanen totesi.
Kilpailu pelataan kauniilla Ullna Golf & Country Clubilla, jota hän vertasi kahteen kotimaiseen golfkenttään.
”Hieno kenttä ennen kaikkea. Vähän Paltamon kentän kanssa samoja fiiliksiä ja miksei myös Kymen Golfin”, sanoi Pulkkanen, jonka kotiseura jälkimmäinen on.
Kalle Samooja pelasi yhden alle pariin, mikä riittää jaettuun 49. sijaan. Iltapäivällä sää oli haastavampi kuin aamulla.
”Solidia menoa taas tiiltä greenille. Paljon paikkoja, mutta tehot vähän puuttuivat”, Samooja tiivisti.
”Keli veti aika viileäksi ja tuuli oli tosi puuskittaista. Toivottavasti nallekarkit menisivät huomenna tasan ja tuuli nousisi iltapäiväksi. Nyt oli iso ero tuloksissa”, hän toivoi.
Tiia Koivisto pelasi pariin ja Ursula Wikström kaksi yli.
