Viisi suomalaispelaajaa on tienannut tällä kaudella yli 400 000 euroa. Sekä DP World Tourilla että naisten pääkiertueilla kautta on vielä muutama kilpailu jäljellä.
Kalle Samoojan voitto kesäkuussa Porsche European Openissa on toistaiseksi ollut golfkauden kohokohta ammattilaisgolfissa.
Turkulaislähtöiselle pelaajalle se tarkoitti myös uran suurinta yksittäistä palkintoshekkiä, eli lähes 297 000 euron tilipäivää.
DP World Tourin rankingissa suomalaisista korkeimmalla majaileva Samooja onkin myös tämän kauden toistaiseksi suurin palkitoraharohmu kaikki kiertueet huomioiden.
Samooja on toistaiseksi tienannut noin 535 000 euroa. Loppukirin ottamalla hänellä on mahdollisuus rikkoa tulokaskaudellaan tekemänsä ennätys: 605 700 euroa.
Kautta on jäljellä kuitenkin enää neljä kilpailua, mutta koska Samooja ei ole mukana tällä viikolla pelattavassa Mallorcan-kilpailussa, hänellä on jäljellä kisoja enää kolme, joista yksi on kiertueen finaali.
DP World Tour Championshipiin pääsee kiertueen 50 parasta pelaajaa, ja Samooja on tällä hetkellä listalla 53:ntenä.
Toiseksi eniten tällä kaudella palkintorahaa tienannut suomalaispelaaja on Tapio Pulkkanen: 450 000 euroa. Hänellä on noin 85 000 euron ero Samoojaan ja noin 40 000 euro kolmantena olevaa Matilda Castreniin.
Sen sijaan kolmannesta sijasta käydään kovempaa kamppailua.
Nyt kolmatta sijaa pitää siis Castren, jonka LPGA-kiertueen ja Ladies European Tourin yhteenlasketut palkintorahat nousevat 410 000 euroon. Mikko Korhonen on Castrenia parisen tonni perässä ja viidentenä suomalaispelaajana 400 000 euron rajan on rikkonut Sami Välimäki.
Kärkiviisikosta tällä viikolla pelaa ainoastaan Castren, joka osallistuu tällä viikolla pelattavaan LPGA:n BMW Ladies Championshipiin, joka pelataan Etelä-Koreassa.
Suomalaisten välisen rahalistan neljä seuraavaa pelaajaa ovat Tiia Koivisto, Sanna Nuutinen, Ursula Wikström ja Noora Komulainen, jotka pelaavat Ladies European Tourilla.
Laskelmassa on nyt mukana myös Aramco Seriesin joukkuekilpailussa tienatut rahat, jotka eivät ole mukana kiertueen virallisella rahalistalla.
Esimerkiksi Komulainen on tienannut joukkuekisoissa enemmän rahaa kuin henkilökohtaisissa kisoissa.
