Suomalaisten viikonloput eivät tuottaneet suuria iloja European- tai Challenge Tourin kisoissa. Ilahduttavaa oli suuri määrä pelaajia, mutta kukaan ei päässyt kuumaksi viikonlopun kierroksilla.
European Tourin kilpailu Sisiliassa päättyi ruotsalaisjuhliin. Joakim Lagergren kaatoi uusinnassa Ranskan Mike Lorenzo-Veran ja kuittasi 166 660 euron shekin lisäksi uransa ensimmäisen European Tour -voiton. 26-vuotias on pelannut vahvaa kevättä, sillä voitto oli lähellä myös Marokon kisassa, jossa hän jakoi kolmannen sijan.
Suomalaisista Sisiliassa korkeimmalle ylsi Mikko Korhonen, joka jakoi lopulta sijan 26. Korhonen otti matkaan 9005 euron shekin, eli pisteinä noin 10 600 merkintää European Tourin listoille.
Muut suomalaiset jäivät Sisiliassa lopulta sijalle ynnä muut. Oliver Lindell jakoi sijan 58 muun muassa Kalle Samoojan kanssa. Molemmat saivat kuitattua matkakulut hulppeassa kohteessa noin 2800 euron tienisteillä. European Tourin kisassa jatkoonpääsyä ei voi koskaan pitää huonona suorituksena.
Tapio Pulkkasen viikonloppu päättyi tulokseen 72 (+1), joka tiputti kotkalaisen kisan sijalle 63. Jatkoonpääsy oli kuitenkin neljäs peräkkäinen 27-vuotiaalle. Pulkkanen pitää väliviikon, jonka jälkeen hän matkustaa Wentworthiin pelaamaan legendaarisen BMW PGA Championshipin.
Kim Koivu palasi tasolleen yhden missatun cutin jälkeen. Portugalissa käyty Challenge Tourin kisa toi lopulta komeasti sijan 14 yhteistuloksella -2. Koivun viikon sarja oli 73-69-73-71. Kisa tuo Koivun pottiin taas muutaman tuhatta euroa ja pistettä. Viiden kilpailun aikana hän on täten sijoittunut neljä kertaa 17 parhaan joukkoon. Kruununa on luonnollisesti ollut Kiinan osakilpailun voitto.
Antti Ahokas päätyi kisan sijalle 40 tuloksella yhteistuloksella +3. Roope Kakko ja Mikael Salminen olivat kisan sijalla 51 yhteistuloksella +5. Kakon kilpailun pilasi totaalisesti lauantain kierros 80 (+8).
Challenge Tourin kisa on vielä kesken. Maalissa kilpailua johtaa Australian Dimitros Papadatos tuloksessa -7. Kokenut Jose Filipe Lima yrittää kotiyleisön edessä kiriä viimeisen kolmen reiän aikana eron kiinni.
